geoSDI idea

The geo-referencing of information has always been a basic element for planningand management of resources and often this process puts various subjects around the same table in order to contribute, each in their skills and their missions, an immersive common or otherwise taking advantage of the collaboration and cooperation between individuals.

geoSDI born precisely to make it easy, intuitive and immediate technological process between many actors, whether public or private, collaboration and exchange of geospatial data and information to collaborate and cooperate in theproper and efficient management of what is happening on the ground and in management of resources it provides trying, wherever possible, to predict events and to mitigate, manage or otherwise to know what happens.

Born into a multisectoral and multidisciplinary environment, which is that of the National Research Council on behalf of the National Civil Protection System is now useful and valid economic points of use in emergency situations but also not really planning, management and efficiency in the use of fewer resources available.

Its genesis comes from a thorough study done on the state of the art techniques and technologies in the field of ICT and the interoperability of information.

The solution has now reached a level likely to be used indiscriminately by people in different locations subsidiary of territory and direttemnte in contact with the realand daily management needs such as local authorities (municipalities) to levels of government and international climbing and reach a global use also made by the United Nations.
